Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a part of SSC's Board of Directors since 2011, was the founding co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. In her role as the Artistic Director of SSC, she was the company's composer, musician and text coach, as well as set/costume/music design. Though she typically led within her acting ensemble In her final year of work with SSC King Lear, she became a director and lighting designer. In addition to acting, she has been involved in a variety of game shows. In her early years she grew up within Walnut Creek with her siblings as well as poetry writer Marylee Post. She was a student at Las Lomas High School where she was a cheerleader. The school she attended briefly was Pomona College and graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. Post married Stephen Knox in the past. Michael A. Ross is her husband from 1982. They have two daughters. Post is an excellent actress, an ideal mother and wife, and also she is a role model to numerous Hollywood celebrities.
