Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on October 1, 1995, in Berkeley, California, USA. Her work includes actress in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House 2022.

Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family which also includes actors and directors also pursued these careers. Asia played a role in Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third movie she made together with her father. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. In 1993, Asia co-starred as Arianna an disabled girl in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista. This was a challenging and demanding character that she was awarded an award of David di Donatello. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again won her a David diDonatello as well as a Grolla of Oro. Asia started directing in the year 1994. She released two shorts as well as an episode of the movie De Generazione. In 1996 she made an documentary on her father. She also produced AbelAsia which was a documentary about the cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, that was honoured at the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her first feature film in 1999. It was Scarlet Diva. For the film, she was the lead actress and also directed the script. The film was released in May 20, 2000, both in Italy and the rest of world. The film was awarded an award in Brooklyn's Williamsburg film festival.
