Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division of the UFC. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina then won an award of Silver in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011, and the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012, The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko started career-long MMA professional career back in the year 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO after round 2. Her following two matches were staged in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a short time off from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Following this victory Antonina was offered the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina rebounded from the defeat and fought Lucie Prudilova's battle in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke submission. It was the best fight of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 over her next three bouts, winning over Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
